About Kieth
Standing in my Chicago home studio, I often hear the first tentative notes of a beginner just starting their musical path. Seven years of teaching alongside my performance work with the Seattle Symphony shapes how I guide students from the age of 4 through to their conservatory auditions. My practice remains rooted in being methodical and curious about how sound moves through the air.
You will find that I stay sensitive to the specific goals of adults who play for the joy of the instrument. My teaching remains centered on building a solid foundation through steady, thoughtful guidance.

Sometimes I find that the most effective way to explain a shift is to play it back for you in slow motion. Using recorded playback of tricky passages for home practice serves as a cornerstone of our technical work together.
This helps us focus on tone production, double stops, and vibrato with total clarity. We dedicate time to ABRSM and Trinity grade exam prep to ensure you feel ready for any formal assessment.
Improving your rhythm and timing happens naturally as we move through classical repertoire and sight reading. Tuning by ear becomes a habit as we refine your intonation. Your long term progress remains the quiet goal of our weekly meetings.
