About Nora
I am a dedicated violin tutor with 6 years of teaching and professional music experience, committed to helping students develop technical mastery, musical expression, and self-confidence. I teach school and college students at all levels, from beginners discovering their first notes to advanced learners preparing for recitals, exams, and competitions. One of the most fulfilling milestones in my career has been witnessing students grow from hesitant beginners into confident performers capable of playing with skill, emotion, and expression.
My teaching approach focuses on building strong technical foundations, including posture, finger placement, bowing technique, rhythm, tone, and intonation, while also nurturing creativity, musical interpretation, and emotional connection. I integrate music theory, sight-reading, listening exercises, and performance practice to provide a comprehensive musical education. I tailor lessons to each student’s pace, goals, and learning style, creating a supportive, patient, and motivating environment where students are encouraged to explore their creativity and reach their full potential. Teaching violin allows me to instil discipline, foster confidence, and cultivate a lifelong passion for music in every student I teach.

I teach violin with a methodology based on motivation, communication, creativity, and integrity, aimed at developing technically proficient, expressive, and confident musicians. Lessons are tailored to the student’s abilities, goals, and learning style, blending structured technical exercises with creative exploration, improvisation, and performance practice.
Motivation is central to my teaching. I guide students in setting achievable goals, tracking progress, and celebrating milestones, cultivating engagement, perseverance, and self-confidence. Communication ensures lessons are interactive, collaborative, and supportive, allowing students to ask questions, share challenges, and explore creative ideas.
Creativity is emphasised throughout each lesson. Improvisation, composition, and interpretation exercises help students develop a personal artistic voice and deepen their emotional connection to music. Integrity emphasises disciplined, responsible practice and respect for learning, forming habits that encourage consistent growth and long-term success.
Alongside violin, I teach music theory, sight-reading, ear training, rhythm exercises, and basic piano, giving students a complete musical foundation. This methodology nurtures technical mastery, artistic expression, confidence, and lifelong engagement with music.
