Patience makes our time together a space where you can actually hear your own progress. The quiet scratch of a bow against a string signals the start of a deep dive into rhythm, timing, and proper shifting positions.
We spend time assessing your current level with a diagnostic assessment before mapping out your practice plan. This ensures your scales, arpeggios, and double stops are built on a solid foundation.
My background in the RCM syllabus allows me to integrate theory seamlessly into our routine. You will master the music rather than just memorizing the notes. I am here to make sure you succeed.

Graduating with a BMus from the UBC School of Music, I recall the feeling of wood vibrating against my jaw as I first balanced the instrument properly. My 10 years of experience cover classical and folk traditions across Canada, allowing me to move between genres with technical clarity. I spend my time working with kids, advanced learners, returning hobbyists, and those strictly focused on performance goals.
These many years of performing have given me a deep respect for the physical demands of playing. I treat the instrument as an extension of the self rather than just a tool for noise.
My approach remains gentle, preferring to guide rather than command. You will find that I emphasize the mechanics of bowing and left hand agility to ensure you play without tension. I find joy in helping someone bridge the gap between their current skill and their musical vision.
