My teaching method is a combination of different styles! What I usually do is observe how my students learn and adjust my style to help them perform at their highest abilities. What I do mainly enjoy, when it suits the student is use discussion and demonstration. I feel this allows the students to be able to speak up about what is giving them difficulties and what they are also enjoying. I love hearing feedback and knowing what my students are thinking. Demonstration i feel gives the student the ability to see first hand and in my experience the majority of students I worked with always have been able to learn more quickly and easily after seeing and hearing what they need to learn.
My experience in social care ranges in my education and my five years of work experience. My bachelor’s of science in human services has allowed me to become qualified to work with individuals of all ages who are at risk or in need. While my masters of art in organizational management has allowed me to obtain the role of registered manager here in the UK. I have worked as an intern for a social care agency helping clients who had visual impairments and for the United Nations in New York City in the department of public information. With the internship at the UN I was able to work with teenagers in the city teaching them about global politics and how they can make a difference in their city by being informed and participating in the United Nations goals and missions. I’ve worked as an assistant site director, which enabled me to gain experience helping children learn and succeed within their educations. Most recently as a Registered Manager I am leading the companies support workers and ensuring that adults with learning disabilities are living their best lives.
