About Sharon
As a scientist and nutrition professional who has spent more than a decade working with adult learners, I find immense gratification from supporting people to be the best possible versions of themselves. I love nutrition science and continually strive to help others do the same. People have varying reasons for seeking out learning support. It is my goal to understand what makes my students tick and walk alongside them to support them with their academic goals, whether it be a research paper, calculation assignment, individual project, or RD exam tutoring.

I teach using an individualized approach to learning that includes a lateral hierarchy, regular communication, and curated content and testing materials. I aim to help others engagingly explore nutrition-related topics, making even the most tedious recipe modification or statistics assignments interesting.
My scientific experience and counseling expertise help me encourage both the learner's confidence and content knowledge so they can best meet their academic goals.
Before our lesson, I will ask you about your priorities for our time together and, if pertinent, obtain some pre-session information. This could look like course slides, a list of questions, or a drafted research assignment.
If we are meeting to prepare for the RD exam, I will typically send you a practice exam to help us pinpoint areas needing further review.
