About John
I spent most of my working life in the Middle East where I was a Director with an engineering consulting company and retired to Scotland in 2020. I am married and have a son, two daughters and five grandchildren. My hobbies are DIY and gardening.

I am a graduate Civil Engineer who enjoys maths. I want to improve the maths skills of my students and overcome their fear of studying maths. I will work with them to understand the particular problems they are experiencing and overcome these difficulties. That said I believe the key to improving maths skills is to work through as many problems as possible.
