About Laurie

I am a teacher with 34 years of experience. I have taught grades 1-6. I was a first grade teacher for 12 years, fourth grade teacher for 8 years, and taught sixth grade for six years. I was also an on-site tutor for children ages 3P-6th grade for seven years. I love reading, photography, and gardening in my spare time. My grandchildren keep me pretty busy these days, too!

About the lesson

My gift is understanding children and the many ways they learn. I am very good at explaining subject areas in a way that makes sense to kids. Reading, grammar and math are my specialties but I love social studies and science too.
