About Lisa
I'm a retired middle school teacher living in South Carolina. I taught in Michigan and a private school in New York, both used the high common core standards. I also taught in Los Angeles and South Carolina. I feel that the schools let down students by not addressing the problems arising because of the pandemic.

I taught math, language arts, and science to 6th through 8th graders for 20 years. Over the years I had many students go from telling me they disliked math to it being their favorite subject. I have ways of explaining that helps kids understand.
The disruptions to school during the pandemic caused most of our students to lag behind the standards set forth by the states. If you hire me to help, I will research the standards for your state and help your child close the gap the pandemic created.
