About Mike
I am a retired teacher in my mid sixties. I have experience of teaching people of all ages and abilities including those with special educational needs. I write and publish poetry and articles about literature, as well as perform and read my work before audiences. I provide an online platform for the work of contemporary poets and run live events and workshops in South Yorkshire

I offer interactive one to one tuition exploring texts with regard to their meaning and symbolism, the historical context in which they were written and the life and work of the writer. I am happy to set and respond to homework if this is required. I am happy to respond to the needs of the student should they wish to study a specific text, writer or period.
