About Glorisette
My experience in teaching language is heavily rooted on my time in the Peace Corps. During my time in Peace Corps Peru, the many communities I worked with requested English lessons. For 2 years, I have taught English in Peru to ages ranging from 6-55 years old. Many times I had to incorporate a wide range of age groups in one lesson to accommodate for working parents and community members who had children and who also wanted learn English. We conducted multiple projects that were presented during town events, one of them being an English 6-week Intensive for a summer camp.
I have taught English, amongst many other courses from which my teaching skills stems from. I have a Biology degree, and used to be a lab instructor. I also used to teach Creative Movement/Dance to kids 4-8 years old before going into the Peace Corps.

As someone who has learned English as a second language, and is currently attempting to learn another new language, there is one element that I have seen work for anyone learning a new language, at any age, immersion.
The only thing I ask from my students is to have the courage to try and not give up.
For my conversational Spanish course we will cover different scenarios of conversation such as, travel, grocery shopping, work, etc. Lessons will require full student participation and sometimes immersive experience homework will be assigned. For example, ordering food at a restaurant fully in Spanish, as part of the final assignments for this course.
This course is better suited for students who may have already completed a basic Spanish course.
