About Lewis
Hi, I'm Lewis, I am a PhD student at Imperial College London in the field of Robotics and Bio-Engineering. I graduated with a First Class Master's Degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at the University of Bristol. For my A-Levels, I took Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry, in all of which I achieved an A*. I've got lots of experience of tutoring and I'd love to use that experience to help you achieve the grades you want. I have experience applying the concepts I teach in both industrial and academic research settings, I am confident in providing you the help you need to achieve your goals. Remembering all you need to know for achieving good grades in A-Level Maths and Science is near impossible. You need a deeper understanding of why things are done in order to reproduce answers to almost any situation they throw at you in the exam. I'd like to help you gain this understanding! I'm equally comfortable helping you to grasp concepts you haven't been able to wrap your head around in lessons, or just to help fill in some gaps and provide a structured revision environment where you can use my expertise to help you succeed. I have more than 3 years of experience of tutoring students to achieve their goals and my application-based approach to teaching has proven to inspire effort and deliver results. A good time for a lesson is between 45 minutes and an hour, allowing time for deep thinking and focus. My lessons are best suited to GCSE and A-Level students who want to gain that extra edge in getting the grades they want, without wasting their time on less efficient learning methods.
