About Ethelyn
Having taught singing for 13 years, I have encountered many singers at different stages. It happens that my path involves working with nervous beginners and those aiming for grade exams, which keeps my practice quite grounded. I focus on pitch control and genre styling, including pop, classical, and musical theatre.
My work covers head and chest voice, diction, articulation, and breathing control, which essentially defines my approach to the instrument. Since I have guided 44 students, I have seen many voices develop. I meet each person where they are, adjusting my methods to match their unique physical and technical needs as we progress together.

Vocal strain is a common issue I see during initial assessments. It is a simple fact that many singers struggle because they bypass fundamental support mechanisms.
My 13 years of experience with an MMus from the Royal Academy of Music informs how I correct these habits. I offer a free trial lesson to check your vocal range and goals before we commit. This helps us understand your current skill level. Effective teaching starts with clear goals and progress measures.
