About Camila
I'm a Royal Birmingham Conservatoire undergraduate student who have been studying classical piano for twelve years. I love teaching young children and beginners, my goal is to give them a great first contact with music. I also provide tuition for intermediate and advanced levels (1 - 8 grade). As a piano teacher, I know that each student is different from each other and that they have different goals so in the first lesson, I interview the student about his whishes and aspirations and introduce some basics so I can meet their needs depending on which skills they want to improve.

The learning method I use for children from 8 to 10 years old is mostly John Thompson's. However, for children from 5 to 7 years old I created my own method that is based on animal's stories and illustrations as children at this age seem to learn faster and more easily with this kind of approach. For intermediate and advanced levels, it's up to the students whether they want to follow the
ABRSM grades or to play a specific piece or repertoire.
