About Anna
I am cellist from London, currently based in Bath. I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Music in 2019 where I studied with Simon Turner (co-principal cellist of the Hallé), and from the Royal Northern College of Music with a Masters degree in Cello Performance in 2021 where I studied with Nicholas Trygstad (principal cellist of the Hallé). As an active and committed orchestral, chamber and solo musician, I regularly perform a range of music genres for concerts, corporate events and other functions around the UK.
Outside of music I enjoy hillwalking and babysitting my 3 year old nephew!

I am currently working as Graduate Music Assistant at Kingswood School in Bath but am also a freelance cellist, having graduated from the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester in 2021. I am able to teach cello from beginner to advanced levels, as well as music theory to Grade 5 level. I'm willing to offer lessons from 30 minutes to an hour, depending on age and ability. Whether you're learning for an ABRSM exam or purely for fun, my lessons will combine both the development of technique and some guidance with musicality to make your experience of playing the cello as worthwhile as possible.
