About Yelena
For years I have successfully helped my students learn Russian from scratch or significantly improve their language skills either for personal fun, travel or business. I have taught multiple intensive Russian language courses in western Europe and given corporate training classes in Russian as well as in Business Russian. Moreover, I have gained extensive experience in tutoring Russian in the private sector, providing students of all ages with hours of fun and constructive learning experience.

I am a native speaker of Russian with a strong linguistic background. I have a master's degree in methodology of teaching foreign languages supported by following studies of translation/interpretation( German/English/Russian language combinations) and transcultural communication at the University of Vienna, Austria. I have taught Russian as a foreign language to students with various cultural backgrounds in authentic foreign language environments.
Having passion, enthusiasm, devotion, knowledge and simply possessing a natural ability to teach, I have earned respect and great popularity with my students around the globe, and inspired them to succeed in their lives. I prefer to maintain balance between professionalism and fun. I know what issues and hurdles language students have to tackle and overcome. I am a quick observer and can promptly detect where the student's areas of challenge lie. Thus, I am also able to focus on specific solutions and tailor my teaching style, lesson content and grade of difficulty to best suit my student's needs.
