About Jimmy
I am a professional translator and teacher of the Russian language. I have been studying the language for over 7 years now. I spent several of my college years perfecting my knowledge of the language by living in both Russia and Ukraine. I have experience tutoring college students at the beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels. I also have ample experience working with professionals who wish to use the language in a business setting.

My teaching method is such that the curriculum is designed to be tailor-made to support the objectives of the student. My first lesson always includes an evaluation of the student’s reading, writing, listening and speaking skills. I then have the student clarify what his/her goals are. We then agree on an approach that will help the student reach those goals in the most efficient way possible. It is at this point that I provide the student with a textbook from a collection that I have selected personally. The student may also provide their own materials if desired.
