Students who have taken my courses are able to understand the basic Sanskrit grammar in order to read small stories in about three or four months. The adequate knowledge of Sanskrit grammar allows to reveal the philosophical nuances of each text.

I am a graduate of the Master's Degree in Asian and African Studies at El Colegio de México. I specialize in Indian philosophy. I use the philological method to study the texts, so in this course we will study, in a general way, the grammar and morphology of Sanskrit. At the end of the course, the student will be able to translate fragments of philosophical texts such as "Mahābhārata" or some "Upaniṣads" directly from the text in devanāgarī alphabet.
