About Yun
I’ve taught drums for about four years now and have been learning drums myself for over a decade. I have played in rock bands, metal, jazz, worship, and funk, so I have a wide range of genres under my belt. It’s my way of being a chameleon in music.

My curriculum is designed based on two questions I ask every student. 1. Do you want to have fun or learn as much as you possibly can quickly? 2. What genre of music do you want to work on?
All beginners will of course go through basics training, but afterwards we branch out depending on what you want. Let me know if a more relaxed teaching style, or hardcore teaching style is better for you. I am able to adjust based on your needs and preferences.

I know Yun through drum lessons, he has given me lessons for a year now and I went from knowing nothing to being able to play really confidently not only by ear but also by sheet music. He would make a great drum teacher because he himself devotes so much time to drums, he has experience playing in a band setting, jazz combo setting, jam setting, and has lots of recorded content online. He teaches 5 days a week in person at Junyfore Music San Jose, and has been doing so for 4 years. He has a lot of students, many of which make excellent progress, ranging from 4 years to 50 years old.
Yun has been a great musician and friend and we have played a lot of fun gigs together!
