About Sara
Hello again,
Glad to see I haven't scared you off yet, fingers crossed that doesn't change now!
As it'll hopefully say somewhere on here, my name is Sara and I'm a Law Student currently living in London.
My academic background is heavily humanities based, but I also harbour a very-not-secret passion for the arts :).
During my first year of A-Level studies, I took on a position with my Sixth Form's 'Teaching Scheme' that set me up with the skills to work primarily with students from Years 7-11, though I have had the pleasure of tutoring two students outside of this age bracket.
Throughout the process I was trained in everything from safeguarding and creating basic lesson plans to actively teaching classes (with proper supervision, of course!)
I taught in four different classes during my free periods (Years 11 and 7 Art, Year 9 History, and Year 8 English), as well as also taking on 2 students through my schools' Mentor Programme, adding a third as I entered my final year of school.
Unfortunately, all 3 of these students came from backgrounds that didn't allow them room or time to work effectively outside of the school environment. We would meet during registration, breaks, and lunchtimes to get the ball rolling and those who were able joined me after school when they needed extra support.
Those 3 students achieved grades higher than the school had predicted, and the others are currently on track to meet their personal goals this academic year.
Working with them was one of the single most rewarding experiences of my life, watching their progress in both ability and confidence was the greatest reminder of how anyone is capable of refining and building on their skills and knowledge, sometimes it just takes a little help getting there!

Over the past 4 years I have tutored 6 people (aged 12-19) with great results.
I personalise my teaching style based on the needs of my students, tailoring specific tasks as necessary to ensure the best possible experience for them and the best possible outcomes for their futures.
I take as many factors as possible into consideration when planning sessions for my students: learning styles, attention spans, and suitable memory techniques to name just a few.
Teaching techniques vary lightly across the subjects I offer but, as they are all majoritively essay oriented, their basis is strikingly similar.
The sessions I give can therefore hopefully provide you with transferable studying skills that can be applied across disciplines.
