About Larks
I actually love teaching -- I would be a teacher if there wasn't an administration ;-). I started in high school with a neighbor's daughter and I learned deep respect for students not good at math when working the math tutoring lab there were kids that came every day for hours for business calc. I finally asked "Is an A worth all this effort?" and they all stared at me, they explained this was just to pass. I then understood how much work people that struggle with math put in. I do currently tutor in person about 15 hours a week but I am looking to transition to online to minimize travel time.

For high school students: SAT, we cover the free exams by SAT College Board for the verbal. In order to make someone really fluent in Desmos I use the Princeton Review SAT book. (You will need your own copy), and I save the real modules for the homework. Other courses we usually share the screen. I use Zoom and I can write on your screen/hw to explain what is going on. I also help with high school math, physics, and chemistry. For college students: I have a master's in math and geophysics. I know a lot of math. Can help with business calculus. When it comes to physics, I can explain with the relevant formula chart. I have tutored multiple former high school students through college math and physics classes. I can help with general chemistry too--not organic.
