About John
I am 37 years old and started university late at 21, having been kicked out of school at 16 joined the army and worked as a scaffolder for years, on building sites, during that time taught myself to sew / draw, and stuffed a cardboard box full of my work and made it on to a foundation course fashion design course then graduated from UCA at 25, and worked for a couple of small designers, then on Savile Row for 10 years, where I had been until the pandemic. Then took the leap and finally started my own Tailoring business for the last 2 years. Where I have learnt the hard way through so much. So hope I can help you, with my experiences and coaching

I really enjoy helping and guiding people, and making the lessons enjoyable using my extensive experience of fashion and tailoring over the last 16 years. I am also very open about all the mistakes I've learnt from along the way. When you book in with me please send bullet points of what you want support around. So I can maximise what I prepare for our time together. I have a wide range of experience within fashion and more specifically tailoring, and menswear, which I will list some of them below. I also have a workshop in Soho and connections with tailors in London and cloth makers in UK and Italy - fittings - patternmaking - deep knowledge of fabrics with a focus on environmentally friendly choices - portfolio help - career advice - starting a fashion business Also something worth adding if it helped anyone, I have ADHD and can offer my experiences that helped me somewhat manage it and utilise the unique way my brain operates
