About Kelly
I went back to college 20 years ago and know firsthand how difficult and stressful the learning process can be. I am a very patient and understanding tutor, and my work as an occupational therapist assistant in the school environment has given me great experience working with general education students as well as students with disabilities (autism, down syndrome, learning disabilities, etc). I work with a variety of kids with all kinds of personalities, and I have lots of strategies to switch gears when one type of teaching isn't working.

Story retelling, using memory chunking, a variety of strategies to solidify understanding of material being studied. I work with a variety of students already and I am usually able to form a good rapport fairly quickly, making the student comfortable and open to wanting to learn. I want to tutor elementary students specifically. I also have lots of experience in improving legibility with writing assignments, and generalized information on a child's ability to organize themselves, making checklists for learning, etc.
