About Sarah
I completed my legal education in 2021 and have been working for a prestigious Scottish firm ever since, so you'll be in the hands of someone who knows how it works from the grass roots!
In a previous life, I spent time working in France as a ski instructor and ski school administrator, spending my winters whizzing down mountains. When Brexit loomed, I took the leap into law via the accelerated LLB and became a trainee at the end of my studies.
Based in Edinburgh, I am passionate about Scotland and our amazing heritage, as well as opening up the legal profession to those who may not have considered a career in law before, or who don't see themselves well represented in the profession yet.

I offer tuition in all law subjects and specialise in business / company law.
I can help you with:
- National 1-5 study & assessments.
- Highers / Advanced Higher study & assessments.
- Proof reading & essay / assessment feedback.
- LLB preparation, modules, assessments and general study.
- Diploma preparation.
- Advice and guidance on traineeship applications, CV reviews and video interview preparation.
Please note: I am Scottish trained (Scots law) and practice corporate (UK) law, but cannot teach any modules which are specific to England & Wales (such as Tort). If you're not sure - just ask!
I offer my first session of 60 minutes for free, so we can chat about your goals and set a plan.
Whilst law seems rigid, my teaching style is flexible, and I will adapt my approach to whatever suits you and maximises our time together. I look forward to working with you!

I've known Sarah for many years and have the utmost respect for her - she is kind, warm and goes out of her way to help people. I've asked her for advice or help throughout the years and she always provides excellent advice that isn't just factually correct, but is pragmatic too. She would make a fantastic tutor.
Look no further! Throughout my legal studies and career, Sarah has been absolutely instrumental to not only to my professional development but to my personal development. Her experience also speaks for itself, she is super knowledgable, a great listener, communicator and overall a brilliant mentor!
Sarah is professional, personable, and compassionate - must-have qualities in an effective tutor. She understands her subject matter very well, and uses a variety of teaching techniques to enable those she tutors to learn most effectively and retain their knowledge.
I have known Sarah since she joined our firm and find her to be diligent, quick and has a great rapport with clients. She takes time to assist more junior members of the team, as well as school leavers and students we host, to help them understand complex legal process and concepts. She's approachable, friendly and I believe she would make a fantastic tutor.
