About Jennifer
I am a Scottish-trained teacher with First Class Honours from the University of Strathclyde and experience teaching children from nursery through to S2 in Scotland, Nova Scotia, and London. Having worked across both mainstream and ASN settings, I am passionate about creating inclusive learning experiences that allow every child to succeed.
Outside of teaching, I love travelling and exploring new places, and I enjoy the energy and diversity that come with living in a city. These experiences have helped me develop an open-minded and adaptable approach to working with children from different backgrounds.
I am passionate about teaching because I genuinely love working with children. One of the things I value most about education is that learning is a two-way process—I learn just as much from my pupils as they learn from me. Their curiosity, creativity, and unique perspectives inspire me every day.
I became a teacher because I want to make education a better place for children. I believe every child deserves to feel valued, included, and capable of success. My goal is to help children build confidence, develop a love of learning, and reach their full potential in an environment where they feel supported and understood.

My teaching approach is inclusive, child-centred, and tailored to the individual needs of each learner. I believe that children learn best when they are engaged, supported, and given opportunities to learn in ways that suit their strengths. To achieve this, I use a range of teaching methods, including visual supports, sensory experiences, outdoor learning, and technology, helping to make learning accessible, meaningful, and enjoyable.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes long and are carefully planned around each child's needs, interests, and goals. I focus on building confidence, independence, and a positive attitude towards learning while ensuring steady academic progress.
I graduated with First Class Honours from the University of Strathclyde and am a Scottish-trained teacher with experience working in both mainstream and ASN (Additional Support Needs) schools. I have taught children from nursery age through to S2 (second year of secondary school) across Scotland, Nova Scotia, and London. This diverse experience has equipped me with the skills to support learners with a wide range of abilities and needs.
My lessons are suitable for children from early years through to lower secondary school, including those who require additional support, benefit from personalised learning approaches, or simply need extra confidence to reach their full potential.
