About KAREN

I began writing for theatre, theatre is special and unique and requires a different type of creative outlook. I work across mediums, so I work in TV, radio, film and theatre - in between notes I try to help aspiring writers as other well known writer helped me. I am always working and have my own deadlines but I will try to stick to our agreed sessions.

About the lesson

It depends where you are and what you need - whether you are new to writing or whether you already have some experience, whether you are a commissioned writer or have staged your own productions. Do you want to write a short film? Do you want to write a stage play or a novel. My approach to helping you will depend upon your needs.

My son is very dyslexic. He goes to loads of interventions but nothing beats the one to one tuition that Karen offers. Karen is fab with children. She tailors her tuition to individual needs and delivers it would good humour and good pace. Very highly recommended. Jane

I can't recommend Karen highly enough. My daughter was really struggling with English literature and a friend of mine suggested I get in touch with her as she had helped her son massively. Karen is exceptionally knowledgeable, supportive and encouraging and my daughter's confidence and ability has come on in leaps and bounds. Karen is an excellent tutor.
