About Alex
I am a 21 years old history student currently studying at Bristol University. I took A levels in History, Politics and Geography but also have skills in English lit and other humanities subjects, along with wider essay writing skills. Humanities and arts subjects, especially at A-level and beyond, are not down to knowledge but rather how you write. During my studies I spent a large amount of time developing a set of essay skills and structures that I used for my A levels, GCSEs and now at degree level which I would love to pass on to others. I am currently on track to achieve a first class degree so would like to think these skills could be helpful.

Structure and layout are everything for humanities. You can know relatively little, but if you have a strong argument and acknowledge relevant counter points you will score higher than someone who knows all there is to know but cannot write an essay. I can also help students to adopt new learning techniques that help with things like learning dates without making it as boring as it may sometimes seem. Helping kids to express themselves clearly and concisely is a main focus for me.
