About Michaela
I’m currently studying LLB Law with Business at the University of Exeter, and I offer online tutoring for students taking OCR A Level Law. I sat the exam myself in 2024 and achieved a B grade, so I have first-hand experience of the syllabus and what it takes to succeed. I focus on helping students build a solid understanding of key legal concepts and apply that knowledge effectively in exams. I specialise in teaching the OCR H418 specification. Although I’m new to tutoring, I bring a genuine passion for the subject. My lessons are structured, clear, and supportive—ideal for A Level students who want to gain confidence, improve exam technique, and boost their grades. I’m committed to helping you succeed and making your learning experience as engaging and effective as possible. I aim to create a calm, friendly environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, no matter how simple. I believe that clear structure, regular feedback, and real exam practice are key to building both skill and confidence.

I teach OCR A Level Law with a focus on helping students understand legal concepts clearly and apply them confidently in exam scenarios. My lessons are tailored to the OCR H418 specification, covering the relevant components: H418/01 (The legal system and criminal law), H418/02 (Law making and the law of tort), and H418/04 (The nature of law and the law of contract). I do not teach H418/03 (The nature of law and human rights). Lessons typically last between 1 hour and 1 hour 30 minutes, depending on the topic and the student’s needs. I use a student-led approach, encouraging active discussion and engagement. I break down complex topics into manageable parts, using real-life examples and past paper questions to reinforce understanding and improve exam technique. I also help students develop effective revision strategies and legal writing skills. I achieved a B in A Level Law in 2024 and am currently studying LLB Law with Business at the University of Exeter, so I bring recent exam experience and up-to-date knowledge of the subject. My lessons are ideal for A Level students studying the OCR exam board, whether you're looking to improve your grades, solidify your understanding, or gain confidence with exam questions.
