About Dhruv
Hi, I’m Dhruv, a second-year medical student at GKT School of Medical Education, King’s College London. I am a motivated and supportive tutor with a strong interest in helping prospective medical students navigate the increasingly competitive application process. Having recently been through the system myself, I understand both the academic demands and the pressure applicants face, and I aim to provide clear, structured guidance while building confidence at every stage.
I received four offers to study Medicine from UCL, King’s College London, Queen Mary University of London, and the University of Southampton. I achieved a UCAT score placing me in the top 1% of my cohort, and I have extensive insight into how to prepare effectively for the exam, from section-specific strategies to time management and exam technique. In addition, during my KCL interview I scored either 49/50 or 50/50 in both content and communication, reflecting strong performance across both knowledge-based and interpersonal domains.
I also achieved four A* grades at A-level, demonstrating consistent academic excellence and effective study strategies. As a tutor, I aim to tailor sessions to each student’s individual strengths and areas for improvement, whether that is refining personal statements, mastering UCAT techniques, or approaching interviews with clarity and confidence. My goal is not only to help students secure offers, but to support them throughout the process in a way that is encouraging, practical, and realistic.

My teaching style is structured, supportive, and highly personalised to each student. I focus on building a strong foundation before refining exam technique, ensuring students understand not just what to say or do, but why. Sessions are interactive and exam-focused, with clear feedback, practical strategies, and honest guidance. I aim to build confidence, reduce anxiety, and help students approach UCAT, personal statements, and interviews in a calm, organised, and effective way.
