About Anna
Hi! I’m a second-year medical student at the University of Leeds with a strong academic background and a real passion for helping others learn. I’ve supported students through every stage of the medical school application process and have experience tutoring GCSE Biology and Chemistry - always with a focus on building confidence as well as knowledge. My approach is friendly and supportive, but also structured and goal-focused. I believe that everyone learns differently, so I adapt my sessions to suit each student’s style, whether that’s working through tricky topics, practising exam technique, or building long-term understanding. Alongside my studies, I’ve balanced academic work with mentoring, medical writing, and voluntary roles - so I understand how to communicate clearly, stay organised, and bring out the best in others. Whether you're applying to medical school or just looking to feel more confident in science, I’m here to help you feel prepared, motivated, and supported.

As a second-year medical student at the University of Leeds, I offer structured and supportive tutoring tailored to each student’s goals. My teaching approach is methodical, with an emphasis on building strong foundations, exam technique, and confidence. I adapt each session to suit individual learning styles, using a mixture of explanation, active recall, and guided practice to encourage independent thinking and long-term understanding. Lessons typically run for 60 minutes, though this can be adjusted depending on the student's needs. I have prior experience tutoring students through the medical school application process — including UCAT, BMAT, personal statement development, and both MMI and panel-style interview preparation — as well as tutoring in GCSE Biology and Chemistry. My lessons are suitable for students aged 14–18, particularly those preparing for medical school or looking to strengthen their science subjects at GCSE level. I aim to create a calm and encouraging learning environment where students feel confident to ask questions and stretch their abilities.
