About Orla
I am a dedicated, qualified Post-Primary teacher with a BA degree in Gaeilge and Geography, as well as a Professional Master of Education. I fully qualified as a teacher in 2023, however I have 4 years experience of teaching in secondary schools.
As a student who struggled with Irish in the early years of my education, I understand the difficulties students may have with learning the language. I developed a real love for the language through the Ghaeltacht and Irish culture. I’m passionate about developing oral and aural skills in order to communicate and to develop an understanding and grá for the Irish language.

I have a great passion for my subjects and convey this to all my students. I use a variety of methods in order to appeal to all learners at different levels. I work with students to identify areas of concern within the subject. I aim to improve oral communication, especially with Leaving Cert students as there can often be a lot of worry surrounding the oral exam. Lessons are available to all levels and are typically 1hr long.
