My teaching method is tailored to each individual child.I don't belive in raising your voice in the class room, as it should be an environment where pupils feel at ease. I believe respect is mutual and should be earned through patience and consistency. I will always set out clear boundaries and my expectations for a lesson. While I enjoy having fun in a classroom I am aware that a firm approach is needed. A typical lesson, wouId include a starter activity to help warm the pupils memory up, I would then deliver my lesson stopping to use real life examples (if relevant), and constantly ask the pupils questions and their opinions. I would then write down the success criteria, which the pupils have helped me create and give them a reasonable time to complete their work. The work can vary between group, paired, individual and whole class work.
