About Beth
I have successfully taught Mandarin GCSE and A level Chinese. I have the ability to build a good rapport with my students. Having lived in China and studied Mandarin, I understand the challenges non-natives face when learning Chinese. At the same time, I also know how fantastic non-native learners can be and will push students to achieve their best through lots of encouragement and excellent teaching methods.

Students need to be encouraged and feel that they are making progress and that they can achieve their language goals. I use a range of material to help students practise speaking, reading, listening and writing. Students will be able to consolidate their knowledge regularly, so they don't forget content and they can build on their vocabulary. Ideal ages would be 14 to 18.
Lesson time would be 30 to 45 minutes, depending on the preference expressed by the student.
