I am a recently retired University lecturer (with PhD) who has also taught ages 15+, with much experience of tutoring at all levels from beginners to PhD candidates. I have been giving tutorials for over 40 years, abns as such have taught several hundred students

I like to teach by involving my students as much as possible - "doing" is usually much better than "watching". I like to set exercises and activities to discuss at a later meeting. I try to develop friendly relationships with my students to facilitate honest communication, so as to direct help where it is needed.
