About Tooba

Hello, and welcome!

My name is Tooba, and I am an ACCA-qualified accounting and audit professional currently working as a Senior Auditor at EY (Ernst & Young), one of the world's leading professional services firms. Throughout my career, I have worked with a wide range of businesses, reviewing financial statements, assessing accounting treatments, and helping organisations understand complex financial reporting and audit requirements.

Having successfully completed the ACCA qualification and built my career in the profession, I understand the challenges students face when studying accounting and audit subjects. My aim is to make complex topics simpler, build confidence, and help students achieve their academic and professional goals.

I take pride in being patient, approachable, and supportive. Whether a student is struggling with technical concepts, exam technique, or confidence in a particular subject, I adapt my teaching style to suit individual learning needs. I believe that every student is capable of success when provided with clear explanations, structured guidance, and consistent encouragement.

My professional experience enables me to bring real-world examples into lessons, helping students understand how accounting and auditing concepts are applied in practice rather than simply learning them for examinations.

I work with ACCA students, university accounting and finance students, AAT students, and individuals seeking to strengthen their knowledge of accounting, auditing, and financial reporting. My goal is not only to help students pass exams but also to develop practical skills that will benefit them throughout their careers.

I look forward to helping you succeed in your studies and achieve your professional ambitions.

I am an ACCA-qualified Senior Auditor with experience working at EY, one of the world's leading professional services firms. My professional experience includes auditing financial statements, understanding accounting standards, identifying key risks, and working with clients across a variety of industries. I am passionate about helping students not only pass their exams but also develop a practical understanding of accounting and auditing concepts.

My teaching approach is structured, practical, and exam-focused. I begin by assessing each student's current level of knowledge, strengths, and areas for improvement. Lessons are then tailored to the student's specific needs, whether they require support with understanding technical concepts, solving exam questions, improving exam technique, or building confidence in a particular subject area.

I specialise in ACCA subjects including Audit and Assurance (AA), Advanced Audit and Assurance (AAA), Financial Reporting (FR), Strategic Business Reporting (SBR), Financial Accounting (FA), and related accounting and finance topics. I also provide support for university accounting modules, AAT studies, and students pursuing professional accountancy qualifications.

A typical lesson lasts between 60 and 90 minutes and combines concept explanation, worked examples, question practice, exam technique, and discussion of common mistakes. My focus is on helping students understand the underlying principles rather than relying solely on memorisation. Where appropriate, I incorporate real-world examples from my professional audit experience to make topics easier to understand and more engaging.

Lessons are suitable for ACCA students at Applied Skills and Strategic Professional levels, university students studying accounting and finance, AAT students, and individuals looking to strengthen their accounting knowledge for career development. Classes can be delivered online, allowing flexibility for students across different locations and time zones.

My goal is to help students achieve exam success while building the practical skills and confidence needed for a successful career in accounting, audit, and finance.
