About Imani
I attend a world-renowned music school on scholarship so I am well-versed in my craft. I have played the cello for 15 years, and I dabble in the piano and bass guitar. I have been part of various orchestras where I have served as section leader. I have taught private lessons as well as taught music classes of up to 20 people at a middle school. All this to say, I believe in my ability to train anyone at beginner or intermediate level. I am patient but I will push you to be the best musician you can be.

I have had 15 years of orchestral experience as a concert cellist. I, therefore have a very practical and application-based approach to my lessons. I teach cello and theory lessons to people at both beginner and intermediate level.
A typical lesson plan for cello would include going through of scales, pieces and a little bit of cello history/background.
A typical lesson plan for theory would include going over difficult concepts from previous lessons first and then, when student is ready, moving on to more challenging concepts.
