I am a Senior Honours Spanish & French student studying at Glasgow University. I am passionate about language learning and extensive teaching experience to a range of ages and levels.
I have been involved with languages and music both as a student and as a teacher. Because of this I can appreciate the different ways in which students learn, and the best approaches to give them the most out of the lesson.
I teach in a clear and enjoyable manner, while also maintaining professionalism.
I combine essential grammar skills with practical activities and practice exercises. Depending on the Tutee's level and objectives, I can tailor my lessons accordingly.
My teaching experience includes:
Working as a Spanish & English language tutor since September 2017.
Working for a year as an English language assistant in a University in Chile.
Working as an English language assistant in a High School in France.
Volunteering as an English Teacher for Language4Water Charity in Glasgow.
Working as an Au Pair in Paris which included teaching English to children aged 7-12.

As her mother, I can vouch for Amelia’s skill and enthusiasm. She loves everything about learning languages, from practical application to embracing different cultures. A year’s teaching in a university in Chile honed her teaching skills. She had lots of success and her students loved her dedication and attention to detail, and particularly appreciated her making learning fun and interesting for them.
As a friend of her family, I have known Amelia all her life. She is an outgoing and engaging young woman who recently spent a year in Chile teaching English. Amelia is popular, friendly, easy-going and has a wicked sense of humour! She is mature, intelligent and a very talented musician. I'm sure Amelia will be a great tutor because she is hard-working, honest and reliable and engages well with people. I think her style will make lessons stimulating, absorbing and fun as well as instructive.
Amelia has a huge range of teaching experience and an excellent grasp of grammar. She is well organised and, as a language learner herself, knows the common difficulties and pitfalls of language learning. Millie has helped me hugely with my Spanish and I'd recommend her to anyone!
