About Mark
Mark has twenty years experience of teaching architectural design at Greenwich
University and UCL, The Bartlett, won international awards for competition designs for
public spaces, been a Research Fellow at the RCA looking into the English Household and has had his work published internationally. He has been a consultant to The European Space agency, organised annual symposia that explored notions oflandscapes in towns at The GREENwich Forum (which he established), lectured at the EU funded Older Peoples Housing Conference in The Hague, lectured on public
accessibility and Lifetime Homes design at The AA and had his design for a drinking fountain built in Green Park for Tiffany and Co. We therefore also offer a great deal of
expertise and excellence in a range of design processes in relation to working closely with individuals offering a diverse range of types of designs and artwork for delightful spaces.
Mark runs a Dorset based design studio that specialises in designing housing and public artworks, whilst retaining an appreciation for Tradition, Nature and the Home as a social space, not simply a house. We work closely with the "grit" or personal touches of the student’s to create a "pearl" of delight in any students' design of space . We work on with them asan artist and ecologist and architect so student designs, artwork and spaces are more than simply functional- but ideally inspiring, delightful, poetic and of/from TheHeart.

I approach each students work by tailoring a brief and methodology to their innate persoanl attributes and skills- no matter their visual, cultural, educational or verbal skill base. I have a wide and varied range ofdesign skills learnt fromtutoring and from being tutored by and having worked with some of the best contempoaray designers and architects who have worked with, inc: FAT, David Chipperfield, John Miller, Richard Horden, Memphis, Wlater Gropius, The Low Energy Research Unit, Wiggleworth Till, Neil SPiller, Michael SOrkin, OMA, ELia Zhenghelis and I was a Research Fellow atThe RCA. I have published a few periodicals that offer a great background pf references theoretical and built.
