About Daniel
With my current job as a Senior R&D Scientist, I spend an awful lot of time learning, testing, and innovating on technologies that only a niche community understand - it can be a very cold and impersonal process. I've always enjoyed sharing my expertise with people who are eager to learn.
I am a relaxed an patient teacher, happy to assume a student has little or no prior knowledge on any given subject, or equally comfortable to approach high level concepts head on.

Effective teaching relies on making first principle concepts intuitive through the construction of careful questioning. Once first principles are in place, additional knowledge fits into place easily.
Visualisation, analogies, and practice help to make first principles tangible for the learner.
Lessons typically last 30-60 minutes
Through my time at university, I've supervised a number of students ranging from first year BSc students, up to late stage PhD and medical students. Having also been involved in the marking of exam papers and dissertations, I understand what both the student and examiner want to see.
