About Argyris
I am Argyris, a Drummer/producer based in London.
Originally from Veria, Greece, I moved to London 3 years ago. Being surrounded by musicians, I started playing drums at the age of 9. I have a lot of funk/soul/reggae/rock/metal/progressive metal influences as I grew up listening to these genres. I've been playing and recording with a few bands since I was 13, which gave me the opportunity to gig all around Greece and meet a lot of artists and producers, including some of my favourite. I studied Music Technology and Engineering after I graduated from school. At the age of 25 I decided to move to London and study Music Performance and Production (drums) at London College of Creative Media, where I was lucky to study with some world class drummers. I am currently the drummer of Synthetic, a heavy metal band based in Cambridge and Stone Fruit, a sophistic pop/neo soul band based in London.
The styles I teach:
Pop, rock, funk/soul, metal
Lessons include hand technique (rudiments, finger exercises, moeller technique), reading, odd time signatures, introduction to world rhythms (Latin-afrocuban-Mozambique)
