I like taking a step back with my lessons and approach the teaching in a very logical manner.
First I will introduce myself, saying who I am, what I have achieved etc. I will then talk with the student to find out their situation and what they want to achieve from my tutoring sessions. We will then discuss their work and what they think, after that I will give my opinion and advice. And finally we will have a discussion where I will offer them the skills that I have picked up over the last 6 years of art experience that I have.
I have just finished my first year studying Architecture at UoS which has been very intensive on sketching. Over the past year I can safely say that I have produced over 100 drawings using graphite pencils, fine liners, coloured pencils and markers. Before Uni, I had studied art for GCSE and A level achieving an A* in both. Although I have little tutoring experience, I can confidently say that I know exactly what is needed to ace Art and design. I have been working on my art skills for 6 years and am happy to give knowledge to people who want it.
