About Iola
Teaching violin became a permanent part of my life only after I realized that studio performance left a void in my creative output. Most people assume that technical proficiency requires decades of practice, but I find that focused correction leads to faster gains.
My 6 years of professional experience inform how I teach shifting positions, tuning by ear, bowing technique, and intonation. I have guided 363 students through the nuances of classical repertoire, left hand agility, and correct posture and hold. Please share what you would like to accomplish during our first session.

Slow and steady is usually a lie when you want to achieve real technical accuracy on the violin. I prefer to use a rapid feedback loop to correct posture and hold issues before they become bad habits. My teaching style relies on 9.0 levels of detail for intonation and bowing technique. 363 students have already navigated this path.
It is rarely easy to perfect your sound. I focus on keeping the intensity high while making sure you understand the mechanics behind every movement. Are you ready to begin your musical journey?
