About Tom
I am an electronic music producer and DJ based in Bristol, with releases on respected UK underground labels including Shall Not Fade. Over years of writing and releasing club music, I have developed a workflow focused on character, heavy low-end groove, and raw, hardware-style energy that hits properly on sound systems.
I teach because modern music production often gets caught up in over-sanitising tracks with generic "rules" and fragmented online tutorials. I prefer helping producers cut through the noise: dialling in grit, saturation, dynamic swing, and the confidence to finish distinctive music rather than chasing clinical perfection.
Alongside music, I have a background in Computer Science and Data Science, giving our sessions a clear, practical approach to understanding audio routing, synthesis, and workflow without the fluff.

My lessons are hands-on, practical, and tailored entirely to your workflow and musical style. Instead of generic theory, we focus on finishing tracks and making your music sound release-ready.
Whether you are a total beginner learning your DAW or an experienced producer looking to polish mixdowns and sign music to labels, sessions target your specific bottlenecks:
Arrangement: Breaking out of the 8-bar loop and structuring full, cohesive tracks.
Sound Design & Groove: Crafting custom patches, dynamic drums, swing, and dialled-in low end (kick and sub interaction).
Mixing & Balance: EQ, compression, spatial depth, and gain staging so tracks translate cleanly in clubs and on streaming.
Finishing & Pitching: Completing projects, creating stems, and preparing demos for underground electronic labels.
Lessons typically run for 60 or 90 minutes, hosted either online via high-quality audio stream or in person in Bristol. All ages and experience levels welcome.
