About Emery

Hello! I am a passionate singing tutor with 8 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance. I teach Classical, Pop, Rock, and Country vocals using a balanced method that combines ear training, harmony, improvisation, and music theory. My lessons are designed to strengthen vocal technique while developing musical understanding and expressive performance. I provide personalised instruction tailored to each student’s goals and skill level, from beginner to advanced. Performance confidence is a key focus, and I guide students to express themselves fully on stage or in practice. I emphasise breath control, phrasing, and tonal clarity to create polished, professional-sounding performances. Improvisation and stylistic exploration help students discover their unique musical voice. I integrate theory in practical ways so students can apply it directly to songs and performance. Lessons are interactive, engaging, and structured to maintain steady progress. I enjoy helping students expand their repertoire and adapt to different musical genres with ease. Whether preparing for auditions, concerts, or personal growth, I support each student in reaching their full potential. Join me to develop your voice, build confidence, and enjoy the art of singing every step of the way.

About the lesson

My singing approach helps students prepare effectively for auditions and build a versatile vocal portfolio. I focus on smart song selection strategies that highlight each student’s strengths and suit their target genre. Vocal tone matching and controlled dynamics are emphasised to create expressive, polished performances. I integrate vocal agility exercises to improve flexibility and precision, helping students navigate challenging passages with ease. Mock auditions are included to build confidence and refine stage presence. Genre diversity is explored so students can adapt to different musical styles and expand their range. I recommend practical tools like backing track apps, lyric trainers, and pitch analysers to reinforce learning outside of lessons. Each session balances technical work with expressive interpretation. Students learn to combine breath control, phrasing, and tonal clarity for cohesive performances. Exercises are tailored to individual goals, ensuring steady progress while maintaining motivation. I guide students in developing a strong repertoire that prepares them for both auditions and public performance. Lessons are interactive, supportive, and structured to help every singer reach their full potential.
