About Jacquelyn
Hi, I’m Jacquelyn — or Jac for short! I’m an experienced singer-songwriter and performer, with a Diploma in Music from JMC Academy, and a Graduate Award in Literature (which comes in very handy for songwriting!).
I’ve been singing and studying voice for over 10 years, with two years of public performance experience. Along the way, I worked with several teachers — but surprisingly, I was rarely taught proper technique or how to truly understand the unique instrument that is the voice. Most of my real progress came through self-teaching and the short time I’ve already spent teaching others — where I learned more than in all those earlier years combined.
That’s why I’m so excited to share what I’ve discovered, to save you the time and frustration I went through trying to figure it out alone. I often see improvements in my students after just a handful of lessons (no exaggeration!) — and nothing brings me more joy.
I absolutely love teaching and sharing the gift of singing with anyone who has a deep desire to learn. I especially enjoy working with beginners and those who struggle with confidence, because I’m passionate about nurturing students in the ways I once needed during my own journey.

After training with more than four singing teachers — including one from David Jaanz Singing Academy — I discovered something surprising: I was rarely taught proper technique or the basic building blocks of singing. That’s why I teach differently.
I absolutely love teaching singing, and nothing excites me more than helping students discover their own voice. Together, we’ll approach the voice from the ground up, building on solid foundations. My methods are always evolving as I listen to each student’s unique strengths and challenges, and we troubleshoot together.
Depending on your goals, lessons may also include music theory, ear training, songwriting, and performance coaching. My focus is not to make you sound like anyone else, but to help you master YOUR own sound.
I truly believe anyone can learn to sing with the right tools, support, and encouragement. The voice is a vulnerable instrument, and I know how nerve-racking it can feel at first. That’s why I teach with patience, consistency, and genuine joy — so you can discover your voice and sing in ways you never thought possible.

Jacquelyn is one superstar of a singing teacher! I have been working with her for a while now and with her help I have improved my range and built so much confidence. If it wasn't for her I would've given up on my singing journey. Her lessons are fun, affordable and definitely worth it. She is absolutely amazing, and doesn't make you feel pressured to do anything you don't want to!! Definitely worth having lessons with her!
