About Elizabeth
I have worked as a tutor on and off for about 3 years, with most experience in the late teen age group (16-18), mostly working on more academic subjects like French and music theory. As a singer, I have been part of choirs for over 5 years and have developed an interest in singing as a tool for personal development over the last two. My most recent engagement professionally was with a small collaborative ensemble called Stile Antico, who specialise in early music, which taught me a lot about music as a listening discipline and how to bring more spontaneity into singing.

My teaching method is person-centred and I tend to facilitate pupils to self-guide their way through what is most challenging for them at the time (depending upon who I am teaching). My focus is on what is most challenging and developing resilience to push through difficult passages or to help with difficult parts of music theory, but I tend to leave it to each student to focus on what they feel is most important to them.
