About Takaaki
Takaaki Matsumoto, an AEA actor and a proud graduate with a Bachelor of Music from Soai University in my native Osaka, Japan. My journey took a turn when I moved to the United States in 2019 to study at Longy School of Music, earning both a Graduate Performance Diploma and a Master of Music degree. My college years were rich with performances in operas, including engagements with Opera North in New Hampshire.
My roots in classical ballet and theater dance from a young age led me to a natural transition into musical theater after graduation. I quickly found success with an ensemble role in "The Little Mermaid" at the Franklin Performing Arts Company in Massachusetts and continued to captivate audiences in "Bright Star" and in "Tarzan" as Tarzan's farther and Ensemble.
Within a year post-graduation, I achieved my AEA actor status, a testament to my dedication and passion for the performing arts.
