About Lian

Hi! My name is Lian. I’m a professional recording artist, composer, and music producer.

I've sung on TV show soundtracks, with one track receiving 1.5M+ streams on Spotify. I've been on tour in the US as part of the Star Magic: Beyond the Stars tour last 2022, singing live in theatres in New York, LA, and San Francisco. I've also been hired to sing for events and livestreams. I also hold a Master of Composition in Electronic and Produced Music (Distinction) from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

As a composer, I've made music for theatre, films, installations, and other pop artists and have often used my voice as a key instrument. One of my songs, sung by girl group BINI, was sent to the moon in 2024 as part of the Lunar Codex. My work has been seen at the BBC TV Centre, the Outernet, Camden People’s Theatre, and the Frameless Gallery in London.

I love to teach and have a passion for helping others on their journey. In my lessons you can expect to learn:

- Proper breathing technique
- How to manage your breath through a song
- How to take care of your voice
- Dynamics and emotional expression
- Take-home exercises to practice at home

Book a lesson today---I'd love to share with you what I know!

Lian is the best teacher!

I was a coursemate during my master's at Guildhall School. I studied Western classical composition during my undergraduate, so all electronic music-related stuff was completely new to me when I first started my master's. Whenever I struggled with understanding classes, she became my 1:1 tutor!

Since she has professional experience as a singer-songwriter and film/theatre composer, she has extensive knowledge in music technology, such as recording, synthesizers, and sound design.

On top of that, she is incredibly good at picking up what you especially need and what your level is around. So, you will be able to understand really easily and tailor what you learned very quickly.

I highly recommend Lian for your music technology journey! If you saw this, you found the best teacher :)

Lian created the wonderful soundtrack to my graduate film in 2024. She did an incredible job of brining my vision to life, and the music she provided brought the whole project up a level. I’ve had multiple people comment on the wonderful instrumentals after watching the film.
Working with Lian was a really easy and enjoyable process, she’s super friendly, and was able to turn my lack of musical knowledge into a really beautiful piece of work.I would wholeheartedly recommend her to everyone.

I can’t recommend Lian highly enough as a music technology and music production teacher. She has an MA in Electronic and Produced Music from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama and is not only extremely knowledgeable, but also a fantastic communicator who makes learning feel clear and enjoyable. She’s a talented producer in her own right and brings a friendly, supportive, and genuinely encouraging presence to everything she teaches.
