About Carlos
My name is Carlos, and I am a gap year student who achieved A*A*A* at A-Level Sociology, English Language, and Law. I have great credentials in leadership, communication, and educating. I love academia, and I look forward to encouraging my tutees to find enjoyment in the pursuit of knowledge and for them to also reap its rewards.

I believe in a personalised tutoring experience, where I will brief myself with the tutee's current standing and what they are on track to achieve based on diagnostic and previous assessments. From there, I can identify particular weaknesses and focus on tackling them. I will use interactive questioning methods, encouraging the tutee to link, compare, and contrast theories, focusing on a subtopic at a time. I will familiarise the tutee with exam structures and tips to maximise marks, ending sessions with recaps and homework for me to feedback to plan future sessions. Lessons may be from thirty minutes to an hour long, dedicated to Year 12 and 13 students. I have experience mentoring younger pupils in GCSE English Language, alongside explaining concepts as the founder of my college's law society.
