my teaching method is that I start my asking knowledge questions about the topic to get an idea of their understanding. I then, teach the whole topic by making it interactive with activities and questions (focusing primarily on the ones they find difficult). finally, a couple of lessons later, I will make them do a small knowledge test to make sure they fully understand the topic before moving on.
