About Simi
I am a Year 12 student at Bournemouth School studying Maths, Further Maths, Physics and French, and achieved 12 straight 9's last year at GCSE. Although I am new to formal tutoring, I consistently achieved top grades across the board, so have helped other pupils in various subjects, including various GCSEs, and A-Level Maths.
Outside of school, I compete in the International Linguistics Olympiad, having won a gold and silver medal to date. I have also won a gold and a bronze nationally in the UKMT Mathematical Olympiads, and competed in the national finals for the Team Maths Challenge.
At GCSE, I took Biology, Chemistry, Computing, English Language, English Literature, French, German, History, Maths, Physics, RS and Further Maths.

As a current pupil myself, I understand how tedious it can become if a student is simply faced with more of the same exercises and explanations that they have had at school, so will adapt the lessons to their style and ability, and try to make them more engaging and different to what they would get at school.
I also believe that a deep understanding of the subject matter is the most important factor in achieving high grades, as it boosts confidence and allows students to respond in unfamiliar situations. It also exposes weaker areas faster, allowing them to be focused on and improved before exam season arrives.
Having sat the new exams so recently, I am very familiar with the new syllabuses and so can cater specifically to them at GCSE, and prepare younger students with the skills that they will need for them in the future.
